Julie Waight FNP-BC graduated from Pace University in Pleasantville, NY with a master's degree in nursing and a certification as Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Although board certified in Family Practice, Ms. Waight has specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of headache for the past 15+ years. She has had the privilege of working with several renowned headache specialists including Dr. Alan Rappaport, Dr. Stewart Tepper and Dr. Fred Sheftell at the New England Center for Headache in Stamford, CT and Dr. Lawrence Newman and Dr. Christine Lay at the Headache Center at Beth Israel in NYC. Ms. Waight's clinical experience in pain management was obtained by spending time under the mentorship of Dr. Michael Brennin a pain management expert in Fairfield, CT. In addition to Ms. Waight's background in headache and pain management, she has had extensive experience in family practice, critical care and gastroenterology. She holds a special interest in woman's health especially areas pertaining to headache. Ms. Waight has also lectured extensively to professionals and the public on behalf of several pharmaceutical companies and also to university students on the topic of migraine and other headache conditions. Ms. Waight is an active member of the American Headache Society, The National Headache Foundation, The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, the Academy of Pain Management and the Academy of Nurse Practitioners in Woman's Health. Ms. Waight offers her patients a well-rounded background of clinical experience and knowledge in addition to compassion and commitment to her fields of specialty.
